The inn is off the beaten path, but close to restaurants, shopping, quaint villages, covered bridges, and outdoor recreation beyond imagination. With warm weather, hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, canoeing, golf, and tennis are the best activities to take part in. Spectacular foliage in autumn with beaming colors and wintertime skiing, snowshoeing, and sleigh riding, all right nearby. The inn has nine peaceful acres with mountain views, meadow, ponds, gardens, and woods that provides a setting for relaxation and getting away from it all. Enjoy the comfortable big, bright sun room, the great room and the wonderful library all with wood burning fireplaces, oriental rugs, original art, and antiques. Guests can put their feet up on the farmhouse front porch, the canopied back deck, or the airy gazebo. Read a book or watch the "critter shows" as birds and chipmunks, raccoons, the resident beaver, red foxes, deer, and an occasional black bear or moose provide entertainment. Delicious breakfasts in the morning and afternoon and bedtime snacks are available throughout the day. Raiding the cookie jar is encouraged. Specialties include Dotty's famous sticky buns, and on occasion, flatbreads from the wood fired brick beehive oven. Guests can enjoy a candlelit dinner on Saturday nights, when in season or by reservation, for six or more guests. Eight comfortable, well appointed guestrooms with TV/VCR, gas fireplace, and private, full, en suite bath, all with steam bath and/or Jacuzzi tub and shower.
