Having opened in 1897 at a privileged location in the center of Oerlikon, the Hotel Sternen Oerlikon soon became famous as a popular venue for visitors to the Zurich Exhibition Centre and the Hallenstadion. Since that time, many international companies have made their locations in Zurich North, taking advantage of the excellent traffic connections to the city of Zurich and Zurich Kloten airport. The hotel is located in the heart of Oerlikon, just a 5 minute walk from the Zurich Exhibition Center, the Hallenstadion and Zurich Oerlikon railway station.
All guest rooms are equipped with shower or bath and toilet, hairdryer, cable TV, radio, minibar and direct dial telephone with an analogue modem connection. Smoking and non smoking rooms are available. Some of the spacious "Standard rooms" are located away from the street. The smaller "City rooms" are with city view. There are 7 parking spaces directly behind the hotel. The hotel's own indoor car park accommodates some 10 cars. The meeting room is suitable for meetings of up to 12 persons, and technical equipment can be supplied upon request.
