THE BLOCK is the world's first snowboarder hotel created by professional snowboarder Marc Frank Montoya and Las Vegas Hotelier Liko S. Smith. The Block is a modern day renaissance in high altitude accommodations. All of the New School rooms include items like cordless phones, CD players, game consoles, board pegs, bike hooks and free wireless access. The guests' rooms have a hip or a "no frills" look. "Old School" rooms have a no frills décor and are equipped with a balcony. The "New School" rooms usually feature a bold color scheme and stylistic art, and extra amenities like a PS/2, and cordless phone (amenities may vary. Guests who prefer the above amenities, should book the "New School" rooms. The "Old School" rooms, on the other hand, will have more traditional furnishings, without the frills.
Other amenities include free gift bags, Clif Bars, Campbells' Soup At Hand, microwavable popcorn, Internet terminals, waxing/tuning services in the winter and rooftop hot tub.
