Opened in 1968, the charming 119 room Tivoli Jardim enjoys a privileged location practically on Lisbon's famous Av. Da Liberdade and next to the larger Tivoli Lisboa. Whilst offering personal touches and service, the hotel maintains the high standards of hospitality expected of a Tivoli hotel. Guests also have access to some of the larger hotel's magnificent facilities such as the "Club Tivoli." All of these reasons explain the hotel's popularity. In fact, it is a very sought after hotel by both businessmen and individual travelers the world over. Lisbon can best be seen by strolling through the typical neighborhoods of Alfama or Barirro Alto, hopping on board a tram, taking a boat along the river, or even by using Lisbon's underground, with its decorative stations, many of which are true works of art by well known Portuguese artists. Apart from the vast choice of museums throughout the city, a visit to Belém west of the city is an absolute must, with its gardens, the Torre de Belém and the Jerónimos Monastery, both classified by UNESCO as world heritage. East of the city, the brand new Parque das Nações (ex Expo'98 has a variety of leisure attractions, including the Oceanarium, widely considered to be one of the best in the world.
