Built in the mid 19th century by renowned Parisian architect Hittorf, the Chateau de la Motte Fenelon sits among eight hectares of private parkland 1.5 kilometres from the centre of historic Cambrai. Within seven kilometres of the chateau, guests will find the attractions of central Cambrai including the town's museum, an important Jesuit chapel and a horse riding centre. Further afield, Vaucelles Abbey and the Matisse Museum are within 20 kilometres. The chateau's parkland provides a picturesque location for jogging or simply resting in the shade of age old trees. Inside the chateau, two lounges decorated in Louis XV and Louis XVI style provide the backdrop for drinks and cocktails from the bar. Classic French dishes and regional specialities are served beneath the vaulted stone ceiling of the restaurant, where vegetarian and children's menus are also available. The front desk is open round the clock and offers a convenient express check in/out service. Guests will find a television in the lounge, a pool table in the bar and can take advantage of free onsite parking. Single storey chalets with modern décor in the chateau grounds provide guest accommodation; all have cable television, direct dial phones, minibars, tea and coffee making facilities and private bathrooms.
