The Hotel Navarra is set in a 17th century mansion house, which has retained much of its original style and is just 50 meters from the historic market square in the center of Bruges. The 87 rooms have plain modern décor and include minibars, cable television, dial up Internet connections and toiletries. The medieval cellar of the hotel houses the fitness center, with its gymnasium, swimming pool and sauna. Cocktails and soft drinks are served in the Jazz Bar, where live piano music is performed on many evenings. Guests can also take a drink on the sunny terrace or in the garden. Meeting rooms with natural daylight and air conditioning are available for conferences and social events. The Saint Sang Church and St Savoir Cathedral are less than 500 meters from the hotel. Brussels Airport is 100 kilometers away. The railway station can be found on the basement level, below the terminal building. Airport City Express trains to the city depart approximately every 10 30 minutes to Brussels' three main stations. Metered taxis are available outside the arrivals hall; licensed cabs have a yellow and blue emblem. De Lijn buses run also every 45 minutes to the city. There are two trains per hour from Brussels Noord and central stations to Bruges. Bruges can easily be explored on foot, although a cheap and reliable bus service is also available. Cars and coaches are not allowed into the center of the town, although visitors can take a trip by boat or horse drawn carriage.
