Stone State Park
Stone State Park is 1069 acres of ridgetop and hillside prairies and bottomland forest. The park major activities Climbing, Hiking, Mountain Biking and Paddling. Rare butterflies, such as the Pawnee skipper, Ottoe skipper, and Olympia white, can be found in the prairies. The park is named for Edgar Stone who began to develop the area for a park nearly 100 years ago. |

Browns Lake Bigelow Park
Brown's Lake and Bigelow Park are operated by the Woodbury County Conservation Board. Facilities include a small open shelter, boat ramp, sand beach, bath house with showers, pressurized water, fishing docks and concessions. In the back side of the lake, the best birding area where there is a variety of floodplain forest, grasses, marsh, as well as some open water. |
