The Charleston Museum

Drayton Hall
The Drayton hall was Built between 1738 and 1742. It is considered as one of the finest examples of colonial architecture in America and is the only plantation house left on the Ashley River that survived the Civil War intact the plantation house has remained in nearly original condition and provides an opportunity to experience history, to imagine the white and black people who lived and worked in a far different time. |
