Humayun's Tomb
The first mature example of Mughal architecture in India, Humayun's Tomb. Built as a memorial for emperor Humayun by his wife in the 16th century. Located in the midst of a large square garden, screened by high walls, with gateways to the south and west, the tomb is a square tower surmounted by a magnificent marble dome. The dome stands 140 feet from the base of the terrace and is topped with a copper pinnacle. |

Bahai Temple
The Bahá'í Mashriqu'l-Adhkar, better known as the "Lotus Temple". Digambar Jain Mandir
Digambar Jain Temple is the oldest temple of the Jain religion in the capital, originally built in 1526 and contains the image of God Adinath. Jantar Mantar

Mughal Gardens
Mughal Gardens are a part of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India. It is the most extensive and most significant twentieth century interpretation of a traditional Mughal garden. The ornament was inspired by India but the design also has an echo of an English Arts and Crafts garden. The gardens have some of the best varieties of roses in the world. It has a rich and extensive collection of other rare flowers and plants too. |

Lodhi Garden
