Its group traces s history back to 1911 when Market Hall was the scene of what was then reported as a spectacular musical presentation.

The Orchestra's season runs from October to July. This group puts on several performances in the Laredo Civic Auditorium or the Chirst Church Episcopal in Laredo, as well as in Mexico at the Nuevo Laredo's Teato de la Ciudad.

Museum Of The Republic Of The Rio Grande
The Museum offers a number of resources on the history around Texas. The Museum displays guns, saddles, house-hold goods of frontier homes with emphasis on period of Rio Grande Republic. The Museum also hosts guided tours for school age children and adults year-round and makes presentations to schools, and detention facilities.

Lake Casa Blanca State Park
The state park offers facilities for boating, fishing, picnicking, swimming, water-skiing, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and camping. The lake is 1,656 acres and is popular for largemouth bass fishing and bird and wildlife watching. Wildlife species in the park include jackrabbit, ground squirrel, cottontail, deer, and javelina.

The Laredo Entertainment Center is one of the largest indoor, multi-purpose facility in South Texas. It hosts many concerts, sporting events, conventions, trade-shows, ice shows and other civic events. The stadium facility seats up to 10,000 people. It is home to the Central Hockey League's Laredo Bucks.

This oasis offers a learning experience about plants and animals found in the Rio Grande Watershed. It includes Four outdoor ponds feature a breeding pair of American alligators in one area, large gar, catfish and bass in another, one with five species of turtles, and another featuring a wetland area where young alligators are placed.

It is established in 1848, the Fort was in continuous use until May 1946. The Laredo Community College is now operating on the grounds. The old guardhouse, chapel, warehouse, living quarters, infirmary, commander's house and commissary remain in use as college department facilities and housing for faculty and students.
