Historic Library
This two-story brick, seven-by-three bay building was built in 1929-30 in the style of Italian Renaissance. The main entrance is on the 2nd floor, and the round arch bays at this level feature keystones. It now serves as the Hattiesburg Cultural Center. The building is a Mississippi Landmark structure. |

Hattiesburg Depot
The historic landmark depot, built in 1910 in Italian Renaissance style, is now being restored by the City of Hattiesburg. With the new red tile roof, dormers and skylights now in place, attention to this exciting project is rapidly increasing. Phase II, restoration of the exterior walls, windows and doors and interior, is now under way. |

McLeod House
This building is among the few surviving residential structures in the Hattiesburg Historic District. A landmark in the city since its construction in 1896-97, this two-and one-half story frame house exhibits all the decorative details that make this style and type truly the "queen" of Victorian homes. |

Saenger Theater
The theatre was built in 1928-29. It is one of several buildings in the district of Art Deco Style. An elegant 1000 seat movie palace, it was renovated in 1976 to accommodate performing arts. Today, the prized jewel in the theater is its original 778-pipe Robert Morton Pipe Organ, designed specifically for the Saenger’s acoustics. Saenger theater entertains modern-day audiences, much to its original grandeur. |

Hattiesburg Zoo at Kamper Park
The Hattiesburg Zoo is nestled in a grove of oak and pine trees at Kamper Park. The 40 acre park houses a 12 acre zoological garden. Enter the Zoo, take a stroll down the promenade and get face-to-face with prairie dogs or continue on to the African Veldt to encounter antelope, zebra, ostrich, monkeys and servals. |
