Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History

St. Mary's Basilica
In 1820, the St Mary's Church was built and it was second church constructed on this part of land. This church is Gothic Revival facade invites a close look. The oldest Roman Catholic Church in Canada still celebrates daily mass. St. Matthew's United Church
Oldest Protestant congregation in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In 1859 they relocated from that first construction to the present day St. Matthew's, which is yet in use. A huge and wonderful award winning choir and the organ, lately refurbished, is the finest in the city. |
