This lighthouse began its existence on little cumberland island in Georgia and was moved to Amelia Island. Visitors can quickly learn about the island’s scandalous past and just perhaps the unique origin of the Amelia Island Lighthouse. This lighthouse sits 107 feet above sea level and the beam can be seen 19 miles out to sea.

Amelia Island Yacht Basin was Florida’s first full service marina on the Intracoastal waterway when it opened in the 1960s. The facility made many operational changes to benefit the environment, adding new pump out stations and employees on how to best protect Florida’s coastal resources. It's offers transient vessels up to 85 feet, as well as overnight dockage, fuel, bathhouses, and courtesy cars.
