Nauticus, The National Maritime Center
Edutainment for the entire family. Nauticus is a hands-on
attraction along Norfolk's waterfront that features interactive
exhibits, exotic fish, a shark-petting tank, the exciting
Aegis simulation battle, giant screen movies, and the USS
Wisconsin battleship.
Cape Henry Lighthouse
It's the oldest government-built lighthouse built in America,
dating to 1791, and the traditional symbol of Virginia Beach.
Open for tours. The "new" Cape Henry Lighthouse
was built in 1881 and is the tallest cast-iron lighthouse
in the country.

Opened in the 1930's, Ocean View is one of the oldest and
most scenic courses in the area with many tall, old trees.
Located across from the Chesapeake Bay, this 6,152 yard,
par 70 course has bentgrass greens and Bermuda fairways.

Jamestown Settlement
Relive the adventure of 1607 when 104 Englishmen dropped
anchor and began to build America's first permanent English
colony in Jamestown, Virginia. Explore life at the dawn
of the 17th century inside the palisade of a re-created
colonial fort, discover the world of Pocahontas in the Powhatan
Indian village, and experience the four-month passage to
the New World on board re-creations of the three ships that
brought the settlers to Virginia. Extensive indoor galleries
tell the compelling stories of Jamestown, from its beginnings
in England through its often turbulent first century, and
of Virginia's Powhatan Indians.
Children's Museum of Virginia
Test your balance while climbing a rock wall, drive a fire
engine through city streets, or learn about static electricity
by lighting neon tubes at the touch of a fingertip. The
museum offers over 90 hands-on exhibits for kids of all
ages.
Virginia Marine Science Museum
Since it opened in 1986, the Virginia Marine Science Museum
has been one of the state's most popular museums. Currently
featuring more than 800,000 gallons of aquariums, the museum
takes visitors on a journey of water through Virginia. Visitors
can stroll through the indoor Coastal River Room where birds
and turtles roam free, marvel at a 50,000 gallon aquarium
with the largest collection of Chesapeake Bay fish in the
world and touch gentle stingrays, horseshoe crabs and other
marine life.
Owl's Creek Family Golf
Owl's Creek, a challenging course designed by Brook Parker,
is located near the oceanfront and boasts a raised, lighted
driving range. At 3,793 yards and par 62, it can be played
in less than three hours.

of spiritualism. The center offers free lectures, tours,
movies and ESP training.
Virginia
Beach stages seaside events year-round. One of the best
known is the annual Neptune Festival with a variety of competitions
and entertainment in September.
